Travelling Witness, released in April 2019, marks Joelle Fuller’s second full-length album. The ten-track record was entirely self-produced, and mixed and mastered by Orion Paradis at SoulSound Studios (Megan Nash, The Dead South). In addition to a backing band (Danny Jones, Brian Warren, and Gary Rehe) the record features a few fellow Saskatchewan collaborators, including singer-songwriter Hayley Lawford, classically trained musician Stephen Folnovic, and sound designer and guitarist Matt Kaip.

Travelling Witness is deeply personal. It is a culmination of experiences, resulting in a work that is both reflective and a call to action. The album took shape following extensive showcasing of new material across Western Canada. Joelle considered the power of her unrecorded music, songs about adversity, social justice, and value as a woman, and felt certain about the music as an extension of herself. In speaking to the significance of the album, Joelle explains
“I wanted people to relate to the struggles of being a woman. A woman who lost her mother at age 7. A woman who had a baby at 19. A woman who adored her papa, the man who raised her, and her biggest fan. I wanted to prove sometimes the underdog wins”.
